About
David Young is an artist exploring how emerging technologies shape human perception through art created with AI and quantum computing. His work challenges technological assumptions and imagines more humane futures for innovation.
His influential essays include "Little AI" (2018), which proposed aesthetic alternatives to Big Tech's approach to artificial intelligence, and "Tabula Rasa" (2019), exploring machine emotions and the materiality of AI. Recent writing examines Post-AI consciousness, quantum computing art, and the intersection of technology with human creativity.
Young holds an MFA in Visual Studies from the MIT Media Lab and a Computer Science degree from UC Santa Cruz. His artwork has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including Artforum. He is based in New York and is a member of the darktaxa-project collective.
